- License plate number — collected when you make a parking reservation
- Payment information — processed securely through Stripe; InTraffic does not store full card numbers
- Location data — only when you use the GPS feature to find nearby parking spots; not stored persistently
- Usage data — reservation history, citation records, and app activity associated with your account
3. SMS Communications
InTraffic uses SMS messaging for the following purposes:
- One-time passcodes (OTP) — to verify your identity when logging in
- Parking confirmations — to confirm reservations made via SMS text-to-pay
- Parking reminders — to notify you when your parking session is about to expire
SMS Opt-In: By providing your phone number and requesting a verification code, you consent to receive SMS messages from InTraffic. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for assistance.
We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent records are never shared with third parties. SMS messages are sent only in response to user actions or service-related events and are not used for marketing purposes.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. All opt-in information is kept confidential.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate our parking management services
- Authenticate users via one-time passcodes
- Process parking reservations and payments
- Issue and manage parking citations
- Send service-related SMS notifications

InTraffic does not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Municipal partners — parking enforcement data is shared with the city or municipality operating the parking system
- Service providers — we use Stripe for payment processing and Telnyx for SMS delivery; these providers have their own privacy policies
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal process
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. Each municipality's data is stored in an isolated environment separate from other cities' data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Parking reservation and citation records are retained in accordance with municipal record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at questions@intraffic.org.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP
